Original Redmine bug id: 4605
Original URL: http://redmine.yorba.org/issues/4605
Searchable id: yorba-bug-4605
Original author: Adam Dingle
Original description:

As I scroll through a conversation, it might be nice if the message header for
the topmost message currently in view would stick to the top of the window, so
that I could see it even when scrolled partway down through the message.

I agree, it would be useful to see which message I'm looking at.

There's only one vertical scrolling bar for whole messages in a conversation. I guess that this would require adding an additional vertical scrolling bar for each message in a conversation? Or maybe the message vertical scrolling would be the default when mouse focus is on the message?

I guess that the design must be discussed.

This might be taken care of if we move to a full-height-message UX per Bug 792388 comment #1.
Comment 3 GNOME Infrastructure Team 2021-07-05 13:25:09 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/geary/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
