Description Geert Janssens 2013-10-26 07:31:48 UTC
With the migration from GConf to GSettings, support for saving and restoring column visibility, widths and sort order has been dropped temporarily.

The way this information was kept in GConf before was not compatible with GSettings.

An alternative way to keep this information should be implemented.
Comment 1 Geert Janssens 2013-11-02 16:14:08 UTC
Part of this functionality will be restored in gnucash 2.5.7 to be released very soon. The account hierarchy, budgets and vendor/customer/employee overviews will properly save and restore state again.

Saving/restoring state in the registers will not make it in time for 2.5.7 and will be re-added later.

Bug 714708 is not a duplicate after all. It talks about the general ledger for which sorting and filtering never was stored.
Comment 4 Geert Janssens 2013-11-24 16:31:00 UTC
The remaining state management for registers has been redone in r23430. This will gives the same state saving/restoring behaviour that we had before the GSettings migration.

Keep in mind though that state information from before the gsettings conversion won't be migrated.
