Description Colomban Wendling 2013-10-21 21:41:51 UTC
My distribution upgraded to Nautilus 3.8 and the tree view sidebar disappeared, and is nowhere to be found in the settings.

This is a terrible usability problem to anyone working with some amount of files and directories; or even to anyone used to the tree sidebar.

Please bring the feature back in some way, either as before as a setting, or at least by allowing to expand the peripherals and collapse the categories (Places, Bookmarks, etc.) to hide their content.

Reverting for clarity; this is more like an enhancement request, unlike bug 697739.
