GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 703287
Allow to expand/collapse all annotations
Last modified: 2018-05-22 15:12:11 UTC
This comes from a suggestion in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=680880 This is specific for comments (annotation). When there are several annotations opened, it is tedious to close the annotation windows one by one. Similarly, when the annotations are closed and the user needs to find a specific one, it is necessary to open them one by one.
Created attachment 248040 [details] Example of a sidebar of annotations On second thoughts, if we could provide a better view of the annotations, we should not need to collapse/expand all the comments annotated. If the annotations (comments) were presented as in the screenshot, there would not be necessary to have all annotations opened, but only the active one (the one the user explicitly ask to see). No need to collapse/expand all in the document because the sidebar would provide the proper overview.
In https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=703296 you can see an example of how annotations expanded can make an unusable a document.
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 689811 ***
Reopening as bug 689811 is about hiding the annotations, which is different than expanding and collapsing them.
