GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 701455
Crash (when using large brush?)
Last modified: 2013-07-05 08:32:04 UTC
I've experienced several crashes when using large brushes (about more then 200 pixels wide). I have a laptop with the AMD E-450 apu and 4 GB memory. The error seems to occur however small the image is and how few layers I have so it shouldn't be memory related. I can paint on large images with lots of layers without a crash, but as soon as the big brush comes out the program crashes instantly. If i just click the mouse button it sometimes work and the brush paints on the image, but a click and drag combination to make a stroke crashes almost every time.
Does this happen with all the brushes or specific ones ?
It happens with every brush. However I've been trying around and it seems to have something to do with how big the brush is relatively too the screen. If I have a small image which I've zoomed in and using a large brush it will crash. If i instead have a large image, zooms out and use an even larger brush (but because of the zooming it will look smaller on screen) it works without crashing.
