GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 69734
Fullscreen doesn't do the right thing
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Fullscreen mode used to work perfectly with my current setup: $ rpm -q sawfish sawfish-0.36-0mdk_helix_1 However current CVS doesn't place the window correctly, instead I get the sawfish titlebar showing and I can't see galeon's statusbar. Manually moving the window proves that galeon has scaled to the right size, just positioned itself too low. If the bug is sawfish I'll be happy to change but I haven't seen any confirmation that this is the case.
we do The Right Thing[tm] with fullscreen now, some (old version of) windowmanagers are buggy and don't like it. I'll try to fix this for 1.2, if i cant get it fixed i'll revert to the (sigh) old behaviour.
i guess some = most of the currently used
well what i meant to say is that probably we should have a hidden temporary pref (off by default) that reverts to the old behavior
This need to be fixed for 1.1.4, yaneti suggestions sounds ok to me. But I'm not sure what default you meant to use. Ihmo default should definately be old behavior.
yeah , the old behavior is probably more appropriate at this point
Jorn just put the old code into the 1.2 branch. Marking FIXED, thanks Jorn. :)
