Description Jeremy Bicha 2013-02-26 19:51:45 UTC
gnome-shell/mutter/gdm/gnome-session 3.7.90 on Ubuntu 13.04.

As a workaround for bug 694733, I have been using the 'Not listed?' option to manually enter my user name when I need to test a different desktop session. These steps assume you have installed an extra session like GNOME Fallback or the new GNOME Classic session (from gnome-shell-extensions).

1. Click 'Not Listed?'
2. Type in your user name but don't press Enter or click Next.
3. Choose a different session then click Next.
4. On the password screen, the session choice has reverted to how it was before step 3.

Workaround: Wait until the password screen to pick the session you want to log in to.

we fixed this when we fixed bug 694784 (by only showing the session list when we can respect it)
