Description Till Kamppeter 2013-01-23 11:36:23 UTC
See original Ubuntu bug report:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1101213

The original reporter wrote:

---------
Starting G-c-c from the terminal I managed to get the following error trying to connect via wifi to my printer (this works flawlessly in quantal)

davmor2@stryder:~$ gnome-control-center

(gnome-control-center:9145): printers-cc-panel-WARNING **: "Photosmart-5520-series" is not a valid printer name.

(gnome-control-center:9145): printers-cc-panel-WARNING **: Installation of the new printer failed.

This is the name that the printer gives itself and is not editable that I can tell.
----------

He also writes that with system-config-printer everything works, so it is not a bug of the printing subsystem.
