GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 69110
Referer not sent when using GTM to download files
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
When I click the "Where to get it" links on the url above, I end up downloading an error file instead. I think this is because GTM tries to download the file without sending a referer. Since there is no download link with galeon option in the popup menu, the next easiest way to get the file is to go to the galeon options menu and tell galeon to take care of downloads itself (but galeon doesn't support resumption etc). It would be great if galeon could send GTM referers when it spots that it's downloading a file via HTTP. It is then up to GTM to send the referers on. This probably needs to be a bug in GTM too but I feel it has some relevence here (since wget already supports this I suspect it won't be too difficult to implement).
