Description Ulrich.Windl 2012-08-27 06:23:16 UTC
The new text input widget has some problems:
1) It's a bad idea to have the selected color semi-transparent if the color isn't. For example white will always look grayish
2) It's too complicated to change the attributes of the text you just entered: First you'll have to select the text, then you'll have to change attributes
3) When you change the attribute when not having any text selected, the next text you enter will reset the attributes you just entered. That's counter-intuitive.

Item 3 is a bug and covered by bug #683011.
Comment 2 Michael Schumacher 2016-09-08 09:41:21 UTC
Item 2 is effectively bug 631934.
Comment 3 Michael Schumacher 2016-09-10 22:28:15 UTC
So I guess we should make this about the first issue and change the summary accordingly.
