GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 676504
[gtk3] Use the dark GTK theme variant
Last modified: 2012-09-02 04:20:21 UTC
Actually, I'm not 100% sure that will be a definitive enhancement, but I'm asking anyway. The dark variant feature (see http://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/3.2/GtkSettings.html#GtkSettings--gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme) is used by GTK3 apps such as Eye of GNOME, Totem (and his future successor Videos), and will be in the SHotwell viewer in the near future, according to their bugtracker. Is this feature relevant for a video editing app such as PiTiVi ? Maybe it is still bit early to ask for it...
This has been in my plans for a long time. The problem is that this is blocked until we switch to GTK3. And GTK3 is blocked until we switch to GStreamer 1.0. See also http://jeff.ecchi.ca/blog/2012/02/28/y-u-no-gtk3-yet/ See also bug 661724
Done in one of my development branches, will update this bug report when it gets merged.
