GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 675248
Provide an app menu
Last modified: 2017-07-31 12:46:28 UTC
See - https://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/PortToGMenu It would be great if Tomboy were consistent with what other GNOME apps are doing! You can probably replace the menu bar with the app menu. Suggested app menu format: New Note Notebooks > --- Open... --- Export > Synchronise Notes --- Preferences --- Help About Tomboy Quit
Is there a image of before and after? I fail to understand the difference. maybe someone can enlighten me :)
After would be an app without a menubar. Selecting 'Tomboy' from the top bar under GNOME Shell would display the menu that I have outlined above. You can see examples of app menus in the 3.4 releases of GNOME Documents or Contacts. Or there's a mockup here: https://live.gnome.org/Design/HIG/ApplicationMenus
Ahh yes I see. For some reason I don't have that on my box. Anyway, yes I like it. I wonder if when we do some work this summer for GTK 3 we can handle this too.
The Tomboy team has moved from GNOME Bugzilla to GitHub for bug reports and feature requests: https://github.com/tomboy-notes/tomboy/issues/ Closing this report as NOTGNOME as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping (bug 781054) to keep tasks in one place. Please feel free to transfer this task to GitHub if this task is still valid in a recent Tomboy version. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
