GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 674630
Sorting
Last modified: 2012-04-26 17:55:30 UTC
Rygel should return media list to client in a sorted (preferably: the samy way nautilus sorts that directory) way.
Sorting is 2/3 the client's work; that is a) requesting the proper sort order from the server (which most clients fail to do) and b) present it to the user which may or may not have anything to do with the order the server delivers the data. What particular sort order are you experiencing?
I have a client that does not do sorting on its own (SONY KDL-26EX320). Is I wrot, imo, the best way is to sort files the way nautilus is set up to sort them. If thats not possible - alphabetically.
Do you get several slices that itself are sorted alphabetically?
It seems it looks that way.
That's the same issue as 661482 then. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 661482 ***
