GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 669337
Menu entry name of gnome-tweak-tool should not be "Advanced Settings"
Last modified: 2015-01-07 16:38:26 UTC
Dear developer, after gnome-tweak-tool installation someone should find a relative entry in applications menu. Unfortunately the menu entry that is added has the title "Advanced Settings" which is irrelevant with the functionality of this tool. The things are more complex because of the existence of a second menu entry with the name "System Settings" (gnome-control-center) which does exactly the same as a third menu entry with the ame "Control Center" (gnome-control-center). Moreover, "Advances Settings" (gnome-tweak-tool) and "System Settings" (gnome-control-center) are having the same icon but this is already mentioned in this bugreport (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=649359). Anyway, if gnome-control-center affects really the system settings (which is true) gnome-tweak-tool should not have the name "Advances Settings". I think that the name of the entry, should be just Gnome Tweak Tool. Thank you.
Please correct the
This now seems to be be 'Settings' and 'Tweak Tool', for gnome-control-center and gnome-tweak-tool respectively (at least in 3.12.x)
