Description Severo Raz 2012-01-27 18:21:50 UTC
Read attentively before marking this as a duplicate.

Sometimes when my computer accidentally disconnects from the network, it re-attempts to connect and if it is still unsuccessful, it will ask me for the network password.

The password I have entered in the settings is correct, and until I don't change it, I do not want Network Manager to ask me for another one.

So, I do not know if to mark this as an enhancement or a bug, because it is unwanted behavior but I presume it was done on purpose.

Current behavior: If network manager cannot connect to a network after several attempts, it will ask for the network's password.

Expected behavior: Never ask for password, the user will change it when needed. Re-attempt to connect silently, without disturbing the user.

NetworkManager should definitely allow the user to confirm the same password. As for the possibility of not asking at all, that is truly an enhancement request.

Please close this bug, I have replaced it as an enhancement as bug 686308.
