Steps to reproduce:

Join an IRC channel in empathy
Mark as favorite via the menu - the channel is visible in the Rooms menu as favorite
Leave the channel
Rejoining via F5 or the Rooms menu doesn't work, because the menu is empty of all favorite channels.
