Description Pedro Villavicencio 2011-08-31 18:37:17 UTC
this report has been filed here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/837743

"When running on battery the brightness is reduced when the machine is idle a few 10s of seconds. However the brightness to which we switch seems to be fixed such that if the brightness selected by the user is very low the idle brightness may actually be brighter."
