Description starofsouth@hotmail.com (Account disabled) 2011-08-18 11:09:18 UTC
Please give us the possibility of true fullscreen rendering without the current toolbar and scrollbar in the "fullscreen".

I currently cannot find a free software program that would do that. Most programs don't allow fullscreen + zoom to width or display some additional crud in addition to the text.

Just to add a "+1" to this bug: it would be fantastic to have a "true" fullscreen for evince that allows fit-to-width. This is particularly useful when previewing on a second monitor whilst writing (for example) LaTeX documents. At the moment, I can only seem to find Acrobat Reader on Linux that supports this option, and that doesn't automatically update on file changes.

I'm not sure if it's entirely appropriate to put here, but a nice light-weight PDF viewer that supports the functionality I wanted in the above comment is zathura: http://pwmt.org/projects/zathura/

It would still be fantastic if evince would support this feature, though!

+1
This is still not implemented as of evince 3.4.0 (Ubuntu 12.04).
