Description Pedro Castro 2011-06-29 21:11:59 UTC
When saving a file, warn the user if the chosen subtitle format doesn't support all the formatting features or precision required.
1) Each subtitle format specifies what "features" it supports
2) When saving a subtitle, check if the format supports all elements that are
being used
3) If not, report to the user, to decide to continue saving in that format, or switch to a different one.

Also warn when saving negative numbers (times or frames). Applications won't be able to open those files afterwards.
Comment 2 Pawel57 2011-09-15 23:39:35 UTC
OK. If "negative numbers (times or frames)" means the appearance of an earlier subtitle after a later.
Numbers with the sign (minus) I have not tested.

I actually mean numbers with the minus sign here. Detection of subtitles that overlap should go into bug #439832.
