Last modified: 2011-10-14 21:35:46 UTC
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=706762 Description of problem: In Gnome-shell there is are disadvantageous german translation of "Bildschirm" and "Bildschirme" for two system-control-programs "???" (Configure the light dimming and locking of screen) and "Display" (configure the resolution of the screen). So the 2 tools in german are badly memorable which tool what makes. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Fedora 15 Beta, Gnome 3 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot Fedora 2. configure to german 3. press super-key (windows-key) 4. type in "Bildschirm" and the filter-selection presents tools with near identical names Actual results: the german names of the tools are "Bildschirm" and "Bildschirme" Expected results: some cleaner names which more memorable
Looks like translator comments are welcome by the gnome-shell developers: https://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/DevGuidelines/Use%20comments
