Description Erik Andersen 2011-05-25 04:22:00 UTC
Totem displays embedded album art instead of a visualization, and there appears to be no setting to disable the album art display.

To reproduce:
Make sure visualization is enabled; Edit(menu)->Preferences(menu item)->Display(Tab). Check "Show visual effects when an audio file is played". Click close.
Play attached file with totem.
Notice that even though you tell totem to show visual effects you see none, with album art instead.

What should happen:
*Maybe an option to pick between visualization or album art?
-or-
*Show album art if "Show visual effects when an audio file is played" is unchecked; show visualization if "Show visual effects when an audio file is played" is checked.

You could consider this a bug, or a feature :)

Let's see what the designers think.

We will be "fixing" this by removing the support for visual effects instead. Visual effects only make sense if audio is one of the supported media types we offer, but it's not our main focus, and we shouldn't need to have features that make more sense in a media center or audio player.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.
