Description Carnë Draug 2011-05-01 21:25:01 UTC
Hi

on gedit Ctr+F9 should close the bottom pane, and F6 should move to bottom pane and back. However, if there's a terminal on the bottom pane (embedded terminal plugin for gedit), these shortcuts do not work and seem to be interpreted by the terminal.

How to replicate the bug:
1 Start gedit and activate the embedded terminal plugin (Edit > Preferences > Plugins)
~~ problem opening and closing bottom pane
2 Use Ctr+F9 to open the bottom pane
3 Text now is being entered to the terminal
4 Press Ctr+F9 (see that bottom pane does not closed)
~~ problem cycling between bottom pane and text area
2 Press F6 to move enter text to terminal
3 Press F6 to go back (and see that it satsys in the terminal entering ;~5 instead)

I was told in the the #gnome IRC channel of freenode that this looked like a bug on vte so I'm reporting it here. I apologized if this is not the right place.
