Description j 2011-03-22 00:33:17 UTC
I am using Gnumeric 1.10.13 on the Ubuntu Natty 3 Release.

I make a lot of graphs that must conform to specific standards such as having no gridlines, no backplanes, no borders, etc. A feature that would be very helpful is an "add chart template" feature where I apply specific chart formats that I commonly use such as having no backplane or setting up a way for me to set up and select my own default chart format (e.g., without the backplane being automatic. I usually build one graph and then copy and paste it then just change the data ranges but it would be useful to not have to go through this initial set up every time I start a new project.

If there is another, better channel for requesting features, if you just let me know I'd be happy to do that.

You can have chart themes. That should be able to address some of your needs.

There is clearly also some relationship between this request and enhancement request bug #629646. (But this request is simpler than the request in #629646.)
