RFE: Extend style sheets to also present default options of "printable invoice" report
Last modified: 2018-06-29 22:53:55 UTC
In the Edit Style Sheet window only Colors,Fonts,General,Images and Tables can be preset. A full style definition can only be done by opening an individual Printable Invoice, selecting the preset style sheet and then using the Printable Invoice Options to set the Display Columns and Display. It would save a lot of additional work if Display Columns and Display options could be made part of the HTML Style Sheet Properties Window as additional tabs. Then when opening an invoice and selecting the style sheet each individual invoice would not have to be set up separately.
Created attachment 181657 [details] shows Style sheet editor vs Printable Invoice editor It would be great if the options on the Printable Invoice Editor were part of the Style sheet editor so individual invoices didn't need to be formated one by one.
Some of the "printable invoice" report settings can be saved permanently by saving the report with your current settings as "custom report". However, I admit this doesn't quite work out with an invoice because by saving the report settings as "customized report", you get the benefit of saved display options, but the drawback of a wrongly selected invoice. Hence, you could open your custom report with the correct display settings, but then you would always have to click "report options", then on "General", select the wanted invoice manually. Your idea is a valid enhancement request, though.
Hello, Is this request still living? :-) My suggestion should be: a report should load his defaults settings from the "saved configuration" with the same name. So, I open report > Printable Invoice I change the settings I click on "save", without changing the name The settings are saved under "custom report" > "Printable invoice" The next time I load the report, it should check if a custom report has the same name. If yes, load the custom settings. Or did I miss something? Gaetan
