As Totem is a Movie Player, it would be nice if it would implement the Media Player Remote Interfacing Specification (http://www.mpris.org/2.1/spec/), to provide a DBUS API for client to be able to programmatically control the player.

We already support MPRIS.

Totem only supports the only MPRIS1 API. This bug is for supporting MPRIS2.1..

Wrong. Totem has supported MPRIS 2.1 since August 2011.
