Description zulu99 2011-01-08 13:20:29 UTC
Whenever I'm streaming from last.fm, banshee suddenly stops playing after a while and does not play the next track in the last.fm queue.

Don't know if it is related to the bug above, but if I click on the next track manually, it starts playing, but banshee still shows cover and title of the last track (and even seems to report that one to last.fm again).

Other than that, the "overview page" of the last.fm plugin should get some love, the overview page of rhythmbox looks far more sexy.

Ubuntu 10.10 and banshee 1.9 here.

Thanks for reporting this. I wonder if this issue might be related to Bug 612929. From 612929, it sounds like disabling gapless might take care of this problem...? Either way, obtaining a log (see: http://live.gnome.org/Banshee/CommonQuestions/Logs) is probably a good next step.

I don't disagree. For the sake of keeping one issue per bug report, feel free to file another bug for this if you have specific suggestions for how the interface could be improved.

Thanks, gapless playback seems to be the problem indeed:

Gapples playback doesn't seem to work anyway. Is this a known problem?

the information is provided, reopening
Comment 4 Michael Martin-Smucker 2011-02-25 19:36:32 UTC
Since this is caused by Gapless playback, I'm going to call this a duplicate of Bug 612929 (Last.fm plays two songs then stops with Gapless turned on).

You mean that there are still gaps between songs that should be gap-free, even with gapless turned on? I don't think this is a known issue, so feel free to do a quick search and report it if you don't find anything.
