"When i receive a new message on chat, i see the baloon.
After, when i click on the name of my friend in the indicator applet, chat window popout, and the indicator will repeat the notification (sound and baloon)"

Initially we had thought that the bug is only with ubuntu's libinidicate patch for empathy but later it turned out the issue also exists with the notification area too.
