Description Severo Raz 2010-12-26 23:22:52 UTC
Sometimes, when chatting with a contact, incoming messages seem to arrive duplicated.

There is another problem, though its surge frequency is a lot lower - sometimes the indicator notifies me of outgoing messages, the messages I send.

Is the duplicate message displayed in the notify bubble or in the chat? Does it look like bug #635513 ?
Has the message be received while you were offline? In this case it could be bug #625920

Please report another bug for the outgoing message issue. Would be cool if you know how to reproduce it.
Comment 2 Severo Raz 2011-01-11 03:25:25 UTC
The incoming message duplication seems to happen when somebody talks to me and the notification is 'stored' in the application indicator (the green message folder, at least in Ubuntu). Then when I proceed to open the conversation, the message is 'received' once again, and from that point on, each message arrives twice.

I don't have to be offline for the issue to occur, in fact I think I have never seen the problem occur in such conditions.

Oh, and yes. It does resemble the bug #635513
