Description cordawyn 2010-12-09 00:08:09 UTC
Not all songs are listed in the albums while browsing the connected iPhone. The songs are missing at random, it seems, but those missing are always the same between iPhone reconnections. Rhythmbox shows all of the songs, however.

Hardware:
iPhone 3G (iOS 4.1)
Linux Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick)
Comment 1 David Nielsen 2010-12-13 13:19:40 UTC
Can you please run banshee-1
--debug --redirect-log reproduce the issue, exit Banshee and attach the
resulting ~/.config/banshee-1/log file

Additionally please provide the information requested in the "Filing bugs" section of this page:

http://live.gnome.org/Banshee/LibgpodTransition

Finally as you are on Maverick you may find this article informative in terms of preventing performance problems for your Banshee install.

An update: I removed all songs from the iPhone (via Banshee), then added them again - now everything is fine. Apparently, iTunes has something to do with this glitch, as I only used iTunes to "manage" the iPhone before.
Comment 6 Dave Wales 2011-04-27 07:03:03 UTC
Needs to be marked as resolved unless someone can actually see a bug that would cause this. It makes sense that the error would be a itunes db or tag issue if it were resolved by re applying all the songs from banshee.
Comment 7 Dave Wales 2011-04-27 07:06:39 UTC
Caution after further searching it could be related to this bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=638514
Comment 8 cordawyn 2011-05-08 11:40:55 UTC
Yes, that other bug looks similar. No smart playlists here or something that special.

But well, since I can no longer reproduce it, it's OK to mark the bug as resolved. Although technically speaking it wasn't "resolved" ;-)

Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived.

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
