Description Jeremy Nickurak 2010-11-19 22:41:16 UTC
When selecting text in xchat-gnome, the selected text is inserted into the PRIMARY X buffer, as expected. However, it also inserts that text into the CLIPBOARD buffer, which is supposed to be reserved for more explict cut/copy/paste.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Select *this text* in your browser, right click, and select "copy"
2) In xchat-gnome, select text from an IRC window
3) Right-click on the xchat-gnome text entry, and select "paste".

Expected results:
- *this text* appears in the text entry

Observed results:
- Text selected in the xchat-gnome window appears in the text entry.

This is a dupe of #624792, and a patch to fix it is currently in #658502.

Huh. Must have been a bad day for me to file a dupe of a bug I'd already filed.
