Description Jeremy Nickurak 2010-07-20 04:54:42 UTC
Currently, selecting text in the xchat-gnome text area results in the selected text going into both the PRIMARY and CLIPBOARD selections. Selecting text should only alter the PRIMARY selection. The CLIPBOARD selection should only be modified by selecting text and then selecting "copy" from the "Edit" menu or the context-menu.
Comment 1 Marc Deslauriers 2012-08-21 17:06:40 UTC
A patch to fix this is currently in #658502.

xchat-gnome is not under active development anymore.
Its codebase has been archived:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/xchat-gnome/commits/master

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather reactivate the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
You may want to switch to Hexchat (or another IRC client that suits you).
