Description Andreas Proschofsky 2010-10-28 18:35:54 UTC
Current GNOME Shell releases / git seem to ignore mouse clicks in certain situations. To reproduce try the following:

* Open the overlay in grid view
* Drag an app from one workspace to another
* try to move another window or start an application - nothing happens (the click after that then works fine again)

This is 100 percent reproducible on two different machines, one with NVidia (proprietary driver), one with Intel graphics, both with up-to-date git of GNOME Shell and Mutter, plus Clutter 1.5.4. Also want to stress this has been broken for some time (with older releases of all those components), unfortunately can't remember when it started.

distro is Gentoo, so all self built.

Grid view was removed by GNOME Shell a long ago, first replace with the horizontal overview-relayout, then with the vertical workspace switcher, so it is possible that this bug was fixed in the meantime.
Please check if you can still reproduce it, and if not, close it as RESOLVED FIXED.
Thanks!
