I know that this has been reported tons of times already (bugs #625400, 613676, 591957, 569095, 341105, etc.) and supposedly fixed, but I have an .ass file here that doesn't work with totem: the subtitles do not show up.

This is Totem 2.30.2 with gstreamer 0.10.30, gst base 0.10.30, gst bad 0.10.20.

The file is loaded either by having the same filename as the mp4 file, or using the menus.

"gst-inspect assrender" does indicate that I have the assrender plugin installed.

External ASS/SSA subtitles are known not to work, see bug #625400 which is marked as a duplicate of #625113, which is marked as NEW.

The other bugs are not relevant at all.
