GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 629070
Now Playing text should scale to match screen resolution
Last modified: 2010-09-09 01:17:21 UTC
Scenario: Paul is holding a party, like he does quite often. Paul has a 32" HDTV that he can plug his laptop into using an HDMI cable. He plugs his laptop into the TV during the party and puts his music on shuffle for his guests. Paul uses Banshee for his music. He sets Banshee's Now Playing view to fullscreen on the TV so his party guests can see what song is playing if they wish. The only problem is that at 1920 x 1080, the song title, artist and album is very hard to read unless you are right beside the screen because the font is very small. Paul would very much like it if Banshee figured out what size screen it was on, and then made the font larger so it was legible - therefore actually giving a point in using a large screen. Even if this wasn't possible, Paul would be happy with an option to change the font size in the Now Playing screen - small, medium or large.
