GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 624089
Copy-paste doesn't work
Last modified: 2010-07-15 09:15:26 UTC
I use Gimp 2.6.10 on windows XP. I want to do a screenshot with the "print screen" or alt+"print screen" keys. When I choose "Paste" in Gimp, it says "no data in the clipboard" (pas de données dans le presse-papier) (I'm a french user). When I choose "Paste" in the Microsoft Windows Paint, the data are available. I go back to Gimp 2.6.8 and all is ok for copy-pasting...
Works for me in my own gimp-2-6 build, but I can reproduce it with 2.6.10 from the installer.
Michael, what GTK+ version do you use in your own build vs. what version is included in the 2.6.10 installer? This problem most likely is caused by some bug in GTK+ that has already been fixed in current versions, but the installer ships an outdated version on purpose because other (more important?) features work better in that.
I'm using one of the GTK+ 2.16 packages from ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/binaries/win32/gtk+/2.16/. I'm not sure if I'm using the most cuzrrent 2.16.6-2 provided there (I think I am and I can confirm this tonight), but replacing the GTK+ of the 2.6.10 installer with 2.16.6-2 fixes the problem.
I'm marking this as an Installer problem then.
The installer has been updated. Please try the updated version and report back.
(In reply to comment #5) > The installer has been updated. Please try the updated version and report back. Yes, the copy-past works with the "gimp-2.6.10-i686-setup-1.exe" installer. Thank's.
