samples of pixel patterns

A user reports that really small patterns are not zoomed to fill thumbnail squares which makes it difficult to see difference between them.

The user then provides a screenshot of Photoshop which does zoom small patterns to fit (http://i053.radikal.ru/1007/d3/7c9ec0c595d0.png) and a couple of patterns to play with (attached to the report).

This has certainly been a problem for me in the past.. it only is no longer a problem because I stopped using patterns at all. the 2x2 or 4x4 patterns I want to use simply are not visually discernable as things currently are.
