Evolution incorrectly assumes that Sat and Sun are the weekends. Instead, Evolution should consider the days left unchecked as Work Days as the weekend, or should check the locale, or should give an explicit option.

To reproduce:
1) Select these days as work days: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu
2) Select "Compress weekends in month view"

What happens:
Sat/Sun are compressed

What the user expects:
Fri/Sat to be compressed
Comment 1 Dotan Cohen 2010-05-30 14:44:29 UTC
Why was this marked as enhancement? This is either a programming error or an oversight on the part of the dev who wrote that part of the code. In either case it is unexpected behaviour and confuses the user. You can see from the other five reports that I have filed on Evolution today that I know the difference between an RFE and a bug.

Please reconsider. Thanks.

Comment 3 Pedro Villavicencio 2011-05-30 15:34:49 UTC
according to a reporter in the downstream bug this is fixed with 2.32.
Comment 4 Dotan Cohen 2011-05-31 15:10:59 UTC
No, the issue is not fixed. I can reproduce the issue in 2.32.2.
Comment 5 Dotan Cohen 2011-05-31 15:15:01 UTC
The downstream reporter was likely referring to a different bug mentioned on that same report.
Comment 6 André Klapper 2012-02-09 10:55:10 UTC
If you can still reproduce this: What is your setting for "Edit > Preferences > Calendar and Tasks > General > Work Week > Week starts on" ?
