GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 617655
Euro and cent symbol don't work on OSX
Last modified: 2010-09-26 19:01:16 UTC
I tried several application in a MacOSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) environment: - Gedit - Glade - Tomboy The euro symbol (ALT+E) ( € in other OSX apps ) doesn't work in GTK+ applications.
Ops, sorry, seems the this is a gedit-only issue, changing component.
Hash key (#) (Alt + 3) also doesn't work. Very difficult when trying to #include in C!!!

It seems like the Alt key is not recognised at all in gedit. Has tested both version 2.38.3 and 2.30.2 on OS X 10.6.4, same problem in both (an 10.6.4 issue?)

Is not an 10.6.x issue, in 10.5.8 I have the same problem: the Alt key is not recognised at all.
