Description Ben Root 2010-04-29 14:01:18 UTC
This is an upstream bug report from Ubuntu. The original report can be found at https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/505289

While selecting the country (and variant) for the keyboard layout, the dropdown selection box only responds to mouse clicks and arrow keys and 'enter' key. I believe that the dropdown box should also be responding to keypresses of the letter by jumping to the item in the sorted list.

For example, when that country box is selected, I would expect that pressing "U" would have the dropdown box jump to "Ukraine".

I have experienced this in Lucid, but I suspect it also exists in previous versions.

Note that this is problem is also true for selecting by language.
