Description David Nielsen 2010-04-10 12:23:22 UTC
I've noticed that every FLAC file I transcode onto my N900 ends up being given a 5 star rating despite the original rating being 0 stars.
Comment 1 Gabriel Burt 2010-04-11 03:02:33 UTC
Wow, weird bug! Where do you see the 5 star rating, just within Banshee?
Comment 2 David Nielsen 2010-04-11 04:08:09 UTC
It gets weirder, if I select all the tracks and make them 1 star then 0 stars (since for some reason I can't directly at least easily select 0 stars) then unplug the device and resync.. they go back to 5 stars, but only the transcoded songs.

As the N900 I am using for the test doesn't apparently display rating information in the media player I can't say for sure if they are also rated there.

It only happens on transcoded files though, any existing mp3 or vorbis files do not display this problem.

I am as they say, baffled.

Sounds related or possibly a dupe of bug #626803 and/or bug #628379
Comment 4 David Nielsen 2010-11-22 17:58:07 UTC
I haven't seen this in a while, if it happens again I will reopen.
