Description T.Ehmer 2010-03-30 07:44:02 UTC
When you pick the calender (button or ctrl+3), the main window changes the size from fullscreen to a "normal" window. When you now try to maximize this window, it won't do anything.

OS is Ubuntu 10.04 beta 1 @ EeePC 1005PE
Comment 1 Matthew Barnes 2010-03-30 11:11:47 UTC
Please try with Evolution 2.30.
Comment 2 T.Ehmer 2010-03-30 12:29:53 UTC
Just added the repository for the 2.30, which got me the 2.29.92.1. Still no improvement. Even in maximized mode the window won't fit into the screen. No the "error" occurs in every mode, eg mail, contacts, calendar, etc.
Comment 3 T.Ehmer 2010-04-16 07:41:46 UTC
Updated to 2.30.0.1, issue still not resolved. When clicking on the calendar button, the lower bar moves behind the Gnome panel and can't be re-fitted into the full screen resolution. Only closing and opening again brings the layout back to "normal"...

I can confirm this bug with Evolution 3.02 on fedora 15 on Medion E1222 (1024x600 resolution).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start Evolution maximized (works OK).
2. Go to the calendar view.
3. Go back to the mail view.

Expected result:
All views maximized with scrolling possibility to access hidden parts.

Actual result:
The Calendar view is a normal window bigger then the maximum size and hidden parts are only accessible with the alt button. The window can not be rescaled to fit. When returning to the mail view the window is still to big and can't be rescaled. After restarting evolution the mail window is normal again.

When I try to maximize the window after going to the calendar view once the borders are removed as with a maximized window but the window does not rescale or move leaving a non-bordered area fixed somewhere on the screen.

The problem did not occur with previous versions and Ubuntu 11.04 on the same laptop.

I will add screen-shots showing the steps and results.

Cannot reproduce anymore in gnome-shell with Evolution 3.8 (I remember I had the problem with 3.2 or 3.4).

Is this still a problem?
