GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 613290
Banshee crash on startup
Last modified: 2010-03-19 02:14:30 UTC
Created attachment 156526 [details] Stacktrace Hi, Following what I believe is an update to banshee, from the PPA on jaunty, Banshee no longer starts up. It crashes, leaving a considerably deep stacktrace which is incomprehensible to me. There were other updates done on the system at the same time as banshee, CUPS was among them, and a few others. The kernel was most likely included as I had to reboot. My system's boot sequence was rather dodgy the next time I attempted to do so, but was fine once I got past grub and don't think the two problems are intricately related. I currently have the mirage extension installed, but the bug still occurs after having removed it and the common package as well. I confirm that my library is readable by me, nor does it seem corrupted (on the surface, I can read CoreTracks w/out problems). Audio works fine otherwise, but doubt the problem is related; the stacktrace mentions UI things, like Widgets and ComboBoxes. My system is an up-to-date 64 bit jaunty, as of March 18th 2010. Linux HOSTNAME 2.6.28-18-generic #60-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 12 04:26:47 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux banshee 1.5.5-1~hyper1~jaunty mono is 2.0.1-4ubuntu0.1 accross the board (more or less) Hope this helps, as I'll be going without (convenient) access to music until I can get banshee up and running again! Thanks
