GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 610427
Album Cover Artwork should also support the name "Album Cover.jpg"
Last modified: 2018-05-24 14:59:07 UTC
Artwork cover filename does not include "Album Cover". If the file is named "Album" or "Cover" that is fine. But "Album Cover.jpg" does not work. See http://live.gnome.org/Rhythmbox/FAQ From where is artwork fetched? Rhythmbox uses Amazon to look up artwork. Depending on your locale, a different mirror is used. Currently supported are en_US, en_GB, de and jp. If you have local image files, saved in the same directory as the audio file(s) with the filename "cover", "album", "albumart", ".folder", "folder" or "$artist - $album"
Created attachment 286848 [details] [review] Proposed patch This works. Maybe we should pick a good list of files and stick to this.
I think we should use the largest square-ish image found in the same directory as the track, regardless of filename, as long as only tracks from the same album are stored in that directory.
Bug 401150 calls for a better heuristic. What I'm working on right now is on support album art directly into RB. And what I see is that this part would be moved in (rewritten). - just filed bug 737167 for that.
