Description Marc Prud'hommeaux 2001-09-23 16:32:15 UTC
The HTTP referer request element does not work when you open a link in a
new tab (and probably also in a new window).

To see an example, put a link to http://www.w3.org/Icons/valid-html401 in
your publicly accessible page:

1. Click on the link, and the page will be validated (based on the referer tag)
2. Open the link in a new window, and the referer information is not sent.
