GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 608856
Restore your window setup with one klick. (Session Manager memorizing window positions and opened documents. )
Last modified: 2010-02-08 21:00:30 UTC
I've thought of a sort of session manager: you can save all open windows, their positions and sizes, and then you can restore all windows with just one klick i often have a tiled window layout. and its not a fun to set it up over and over again. So such "memory" function for windows and opened documents would speed up the work. Because as far as i understand gnome-shell ist everything about being productive
Actually that's an idea I wanted to implement last year, that's bug 579747. But that's hard to do because session management is not in a clear shape in GNOME at the moment. Anyway, you can have a look at http://live.gnome.org/GnomeShell/DesktopContexts. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 579747 ***
