GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 605961
gnome-power-preferences "when laptop lid is closed" action should include "do nothing"
Last modified: 2012-04-29 05:33:25 UTC
As of g-p-p 2.28, the "do nothing" option in the "when laptop lid is closed" field is no longer available. IIRC in older GNOME version, there was such an option (but I may be mistaken.) However, it would really help to have that option (back). The use case is this: I have a laptop which, when at home, is connected to an external 22" display. Alas, when I close the laptop lid the external screen is blanked too, and as such is unusable. I would like to be able to close the laptop lid *and* use the external display at the same time. I'm using Debian unstable, package version 2.28.2-1, g-p-m 2.28.2. Thanks!
