GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 605230
totem does not provide with the option fit to screen
Last modified: 2009-12-22 17:24:00 UTC
when i play a tv episode. there is a black border on my netbook's screen. although i can zoom but it would be great if there is an option to fit to screen is given so that i people don't have o zoom to remove that minor black border while playing videos.
This is the same feature I requested for the fullscreen zoom button in bug 590558. Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 590558 ***
i asked for fit to screen(strech) not zoom. plz reconsider this.
You can already force the aspect ratio using the "A" key, and the aspect ratio menu items in View. Providing a "stretch to screen" which would break the aspect ratio isn't something we consider a good idea.
i know that but still it don't remove all the black border.
(In reply to comment #4) > i know that but still it don't remove all the black border. You'd need to use zoom and change the aspect ratio. As I mentioned, we have no interest in providing a way to have the movie stretched and breaking its aspect ratio.
