Description Sense Hofstede 2009-12-22 12:47:02 UTC
When you have a server in your network that both offers FTP and SSH you could advertise this using Avahi. In fact, this is done by most Mac servers. This would make the service show up in Nautilus' network:/// overview.

However, if you don't give the service a special name -- Mac OS doesn't do this -- the FTP service can't be distinguished from the SSH service, you would have to find out by opening the service.

It would be useful and convenient in a lot of circumstances to add a small entry showing the type of service that is being offered.
