Description paul 2009-10-30 18:20:30 UTC
There is no easy way to import podcasts from a separate podcast subscriber (gpodder).

My situation involves downloading podcasts with GPodder to a specific folder. But in Banshee there is no import folder function for Podcasts.

I can download them as regular audio music files. They show up under the music section. Through some subvertion I can create smart playlist that narrows my podcasts from the other music but that still leaves me with podcasts listed under music. Thus when I sync them to my Sansa MP3 and Ogg player they do not show up under podcasts but rather Music>Podcast(smart playlist).

My recommendation is to have a separate import folder location for just podcasts.

Why don't you subscribe to these podcasts in Banshee ?

I think importing audio files in the Podcasts source would be misleading. I expect things in the Podcasts source to be "real" podcasts, that will be updated by Banshee.
