GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 600082
Unable to connect to authenticated stream
Last modified: 2009-10-29 23:36:36 UTC
I have a streaming music server at my house (icecast) that requires authentication (http basic auth) before allowing a connection. I tried to add it as a radio station in rhythmbox and play it but received the following error: "Couldn't start playback <url>: Authentication Required". I did not get any window requesting username/password at all. I am running the newest ubuntu 9.10 and rhythmbox 0.12.5 I have submitted a bug report through Ubuntu and was asked to send it upstream. Architecture: i386 Date: Thu Oct 29 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/rhythmbox NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: rhythmbox 0.12.5-0ubuntu4 LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: rhythmbox Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686
